In the background is the real ISKCON logo, hand drawn by Srila Prabhupada himself, depicting a mridanga (brihat mridanga) composed of the letters of ISKCON situated within a lotus flower. The corporate leaders discarded this logo and replaced it with the present logo. They want nothing to remain connected to the founder. It is one of the many offenses they have committed to Srila Prabhupada.
One day every single thing will be brought back. The book changes will be reverted, the logo will be restored, the system of puja he taught will be restored, and the entire guru system he established will be restored. The materialistic corporate changes enacted over the last 40 years will hardly outlive the changers themselves. Every day more people are understanding the necessity to bring back Srila Prabhupada’s original system and teachings. (unknown author)

The new logo is nice, but it is not what Srila Prabhupada gave us. He is after all, the Founder and Acharya of ISKCON and out of respect, we should protect what he has given us. -V
