The World Acarya

Dear Srila Prabhupada
Please accept my humble obeisances, and kindly forgive my offences.
Having just returned from England, where we attended the 50th Anniversary of the installation of Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda deities at the Bhaktivedanta Manor, I am reminded that you established the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, which we are all a part of. Having never been to England before, I had the fortunate opportunity of meeting so many Godbrothers and Godsisters from the English Yatra, whom I had never meet before. I realized how it is truly an International society, with temples and devotees practicing Krishna consciousness on every continent and in hundreds of countries throughout the world.
It is amazing that through you, just by becoming your disciple, it has connected me to thousands of other devotees throughout the world, in a very real way.
Years ago when I read your Bhagavad-gita As I Is for the very first time, I remember in the introduction, very last paragraph, you wrote.
“In the present day, man is very eager to have one scripture, one God, one religion, and one occupation. So let there be one common scripture for the whole world: Bhagavad-gita. And let there be one God only for the whole world: Sri Krishna. And one mantra only: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. And let there be one work only: the service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead”
In 1972, Sridham Mayapur, after a morning lecture all the assembled devotees were paying their obeisances to Srila Prabhupada. One old Bengali gentleman stood up, and leaning on his cane he spoke up loudly, “Save the whole world Prabhupada. Prabhupada save the whole world!”
You are truly the World Acarya
…Lord Caitanya foretold the coming of an empowered devotee who would take the sankirtana process everywhere: He said: “I want to flood the whole world with the chanting of the holy names. I will personally preach and flood India with hari nama sankirtana, chanting of the holy names. And My senapati bhakta (great devotee commander) will come, preach in different countries and flood the world with the chanting of Hare Krishna.”
We can understand that this great devotee commander, is none other then you, Srila Prabhupada. Yes! And in due time, people will understand the true meaning of “Prabhupada” – the Master (Prabhu) at whose lotus feet (pada) all others pay their obeisances. All glories to you, Srila Prabhupada! The World Acarya!
