Radhastami

Srimati Radharani

Dear Srimati Radharani

On this most auspicious day of your appearance, we fall at your beautiful lotus feet, and offer you our most humble obeisances, and pray for your mercy.

One of Your qualities as stated in the 14th chapter of Teachings of Lord Caitanya is; You are always very merciful. Therefore we pray to You: ‘Please continue to engage us in Your service, and in the service of the Lord Sri Krsna’.

In Vrndavana all the devotees pray for your mercy because you are the pleasure potency of our Lord Sri Krishna. You are the tenderhearted feminine counterpart of the supreme whole, resembling the perfectional stage of the worldly feminine nature. Therefore, your mercy is available very readily to the sincere devotees, and upon your recommendation, such sincere devotees are accepted by Lord Krishna. Upon Your recommendation the Lord at once accepts the devotee’s admittance into His association.

As devotees we are instructed to always think of Krsna. But this attitude of always thinking of the Lord is one of Your most predominant features. Even though devotees may always try to think of Krsna, none can surpass the gopis, among whom You are the leader in always thinking of Krsna. Your Krsna consciousness surpasses that of all other devotees.

Lord Caitanya even accepted Your position just to understand Krsna; He was always thinking of Krsna in the same way as You. Therefore we take shelter of Your beautiful Lotus feet, and pray that we may also come to understand Krsna, by Your mercy.

Signed with Love and Adoration
